The color chart creator macro works with any color palette that you currently have open in CorelDRAW. To open a color palette, first go to Window > Dockers > Palettes to open the Palettes docker. In the Palettes docker, place a checkmark beside the toolbar(s) you want to open.

Creating custom color palettes in CorelDRAW allows you to store all the colors or color styles you frequently use. Doing so allows you to access and use it easily in current or future projects. Here is a simple guide on creating your own custom color palette.

Creating a custom color palette is one of many creative ways to use CorelDRAW features. Once your color palette has been created, you can make it appear on the right side of CorelDRAW by clicking on Windows > Color Palettes > Palettes. In the tab on the right, ensure your color palette is checked, and it should appear beside the default color palette in CorelDRAW.

We have a two page color palette, as well as the matching docker palette that you can load into CorelDRAW, Photoshop, or Illustrator. It will dock on the right side of your screen next to the default palette or your swatches.

Once you have sublimated your color palette, you'll need to determine which color(s) you want to work with. You will now be able to choose your text or piece of your vector graphic, and click onto the corresponding color on your docker palette. When you print your file, with the same driver and settings as your color palette pages, it will have your chosen colors.

You can create a subtle yet effective retro feel in your designs by simply changing the color palette. Each of these 25 palettes is inspired by vintage imagery from Shutterstock and can be applied to anything from a pattern to brand elements.

These swatch files can be opened in Adobe design programs in just a few clicks. In other design applications, you can easily type the six-digit hex codes found on each color swatch in the palettes above.

********* Necessary Color Settings and How to change 255 to 254 *********As for general information, refer to CorelDRAW Help and Instruction Manual (PDF). Color Management Settings This is the basic and most important settings for colors.Start CorelDRAW and select [ Tools ] > [ Color Management ] menu.Change the settings as below:Settings of CorelDRAW X3 and X4Settings of CorelDRAW 12 or older versions Color Palette in Drawing CorelDRAW's default palette is CMYK palette. When color settings above is proper, it would be ok, but we recommend RGB palette because GT-782 is simply a RGB printer. And "GT_Colors.clp" and "GT_Tshirts.clp" are available in [ Useful Tools ] of [ Brother GT-782 Tools ]: their colors are in Color Chart in [ Useful Tools ] of[ Brother GT-782 Tools ]. Print Color Chart and pick up your favorite colors from our color palette.1.Select the [ Window ] > [ Color Palette ] menu. click [ Default RGB palette ] checked and click [ Default CMYK palette ] and other [ "ink" palettes ] unchecked. Do not use HKS, Pantone and other spot color palettes for GT-782, because those spot colors are treated "special" for screenprinting color separation (rememberyou can print each color by print menu). GT-782 Printer Driver cannot deal with these information in color matching. If the image is filled with colors of those palettes, it is better to refill with colors in GT_Colors.cpl and GT_Tshirts.clp or Default RGB paletteinstead, especially in Yellow, Black, Purple.2.Select the [ Window ] > [ Color Palette ] > [ Open palette ] menu (lower orange square). The following locations are the default (in case that Windows system is in C drive). For example, if you use CorelDRAW X3 copy "GT_Colors.clp" and "GT_Tshirts.clp"in [ Useful Tools ] of [ Brother GT-782 Tools ] beforehand to the following folder below:C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13\Languages\EN\Custom Data\Palettes 3.The palette is ready at the right side of the window.Chagne RGB=255 to 254RGB=255 (paper color) white is always transparent with no ink printed. When you print an image like photo, there may be RGB=255 white spots and they will be ink holes. Follow the steps below to change RGB=255 white to RGB=254 white.Fill vector objects with RGB=254 by hands. Check the print data with GT File Viewer before print.Select [ Effect (Image for CorelDRAW 12 or under)] > [ Arrange ] > [ Replace Colors ] menu. Set RGB=255 white to [ Old color ] and RGB=254 to [ New color ]. Set [ Range ] to [ 1 ] and click "OK".Then RGB=255 white are replaced to RGB=254 white.Convert to BitmapIf you want to add some effects, i.g. stronger colors, to the vector object, you will convert vector data to Bitmap. In this case, convert to RGB Bitmap as follows.1.Select [ Bitmaps ] > [ Convert to Bitmap... ] menu.2.The settings are depends on CorelDRAW versions. Select [ Color ] as [ RGB Color (24-bit) ] and click [ OK ]. In X3 and higher versions, keep [ Apply ICC profile ] checked and the color looks natural. In 12 and lower versions , keep [ Apply ICC profile] un-checked and the color looks naturalIn former versions, we strongly recommended to uncheck this menu, otherwise the print output turned to be terrible.)CorelDRAW X13 and higher versionsCorelDRAW 12 and lower versionsChange colors in bitmap data (common in CorelDRAW 12)Using [ Effect ] menu on the tool bar, you can change brightness/contrast/intensity of the image when the image is bitmap.Or select [ Effects ] > [ Tone Curve ... ] and confirm first that the Channel is [ RGB Channels ]. Click the point on the line and move. If the line goes down as shown below, the image turns stronger and use more ink. If the line goes up, the image turns lighterand use less ink. Click the [ Preview ] buttun to confirm. As for the details, refer to the CorelDRAW manual. There are many ways to arrange the image. Try and find the best way with CorelDRAW.These are helpful with previewing the image. But if you need something easy and handy, use printer Driver Color Processing "Satulation and Contrast" menu.Copyright2009-2010 Brother Industries, Ltd. All Rights Reserved.

That helped spur me on to do a little digging in how Inkscape makes colors. I found the file location and analyzed the palette files. They use the GIMP color palette file description. I came up with a palette than I think is fairly discernable with some descriptive names.starting with a number and ordering them. They appear left to right on the palette.

To activate the palette, you have to find the secret little arrow in Inkscape that hangs out at the lower right at the end of the color palette ribbon at the bottom. Note the red arrow in the screenshot.

Adobe has made versions of Illustrator's Pantone palettes prior to the introduction of Pantone Plus Series freely available for download here. You can download the ZIP archives, extract them and convert the ACB files using SwatchBooker.

Once you have the required software installed on your computer, you should download the installer for Mac OS X, even if you want to use the palettes on Windows. This will give you a ZIP archive that you can extract to wherever you like. Once you have unzipped the archive, you'll see a directory called "pms+_quark_mac".

you will find a Python script you can download then run to create Pantone palettes, which will be saved as swatches under .scribus/swatches/locked/, and then be available when you run Scribus (either 1.4.x or 1.5.0svn).

HKS doesn't offer any palette files for download, neither for free nor for a fee. There are, however, many websites that list the HKS base colours and their colour values, e.g. this one. You can easily create your own colour palettes using such web-based information.

The User Interface of CorelDraw is more attractive and detailed as compared to the User Interface of Inkscape, which is plain and simple for a vector editing program. But, Inkscape has a specific arrangement of toolbars and color palettes, while in CorelDraw, everything sometimes seems to be confusing and difficult.

In 2012 the joint LibreOffice/re-lab team implemented libcdr, a library for reading CDR files from version 7 to X3 and CMX files.[68] The library has extensive support for shapes and their properties, including support for color management and spot colors, and has a basic support for text.[69] The library provides a built-in converter to SVG, and a converter to OpenDocument is provided by writerperfect package. The libcdr library is used in LibreOffice starting from version 3.6,[70] and thanks to public API it can be freely used by other applications.
